If you were stranded on a desert island and could only take one beauty product, what would it be?
Many women would probably say their favourite eyebrow product. It’s understandable.
Crisp and clean eyebrows make it easy to look put-together even with minimal effort in the morning.
At the same time, achieving the perfect brow isn’t exactly easy. You pluck, shape, and trim, but something just isn’t right.
1. To get your brows to appear complete, lightly colour the hairs above and below your forehead to create a hardly there shadow. Using a low-oil pencil that is soft, shade on top and underneath your brow to get a small shadow of colour, and then brush your brows up with a spoolie brush to provide them with a natural look.
2. Don't colour your brows with at-home box colour that you'd use on your hair. Why? Because the peroxide levels that at-home colour contains are just too intense for your brow/eye area and can actually burn the skin under your brows, cause your eye area to become red and create a burning sensation in your eyes.
3. Always use the best eyebrow conditioner for your eyes to make your eyebrows look flawless.
4. Keep any eyebrow pencil away from the skin where there isn't hair; it's the tell-tale indication that you've coloured your arches. Remember you need to improve what you have, not draw what's not there.
5. Generally, eyebrow tint lasts more than colouring your brows. The peroxide at regular hair dye is frequently too much for the brows to manage and absorb. Your arches do better accepting a peroxide amount that is lower. Consult your regional aesthetician or eyebrow specialist if they provide this service and then get it ASAP if your brows require a colour boost!
